Day 1 – Arrival in Lima, 154 masl

• Arrival at the international airport of Lima, assistance and transfer to the Miraflores hotel.

Day 2 – Lima – City tour – Larco museum – Miraflores, 154 masl (B)

• Panoramic tour of Miraflores residential district where we will see the Huaca Pucllana pre-Hispanic monument was built entirely in mud bricks
• Continuation to the Historic Center of Lima, panoramic view of the San Martin Square, Main Square and Cathedral of Lima
• Visit to the museum and convent of San Francisco and its underground Catacombs used as a public cemetery in the Spanish colonial period
• Visit the Larco Museum and its magnificent collection of ceramics and gold from the peruvian pre-Hispanic cultures
• Back to Miraflores you will have a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean
• Rest of the day is at leisure
  

Overnight in Lima

Day 3 – Lima – Paracas / Ballestas Islands – Nazca, 520 masl (B, L)
Distance: 450 km

• Transfer to Paracas by private bus, 4-hour journey
• Arrival to Paracas and transfer to the Chaco dock point to embarkation for the boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, the Little Peruvian Galapagos (2 hour of excursion and collective service with Spanish / English guide)
• The Ballestas Islands are inhabited by endemic birds, pelicans, Peruvian boobies, sea lions and Humboldt penguins
• Continue to Nazca on the way visit the Maria Reiche Museum and the tower to watch the Nasca Lines

Day 4 – Nazca - Overflight Nazca Lines - Cusco, 3.399 masl (B, L)
Distance: 660 km

• Transfer to the airport of Nazca for 35min overflight the famous Nazca Lines recognizing the Monkey, Dog, Condor, Spider, Hummingbird, among others geoglyphs
• In the afternoon visit of the Cantayoc aqueducts and Inca archaeological site
• Lunch included
• At night you will board a regular bus for a 12-hour journey to the city of Cusco

Day 5 Cusco – Chinchero – Ollantaytambo, 2.792 masl  (B, D)
Distance: 80 km

• Arrival to Cusco, reception at the bus station and transfer to Chinchero to appreciate from the Inca’s balcony the impressive landscape of the Valley
• Afterwards visit Maras the famous and millenary salt mines from colonial times
• Later visit Ollantaytambo Fortress
• Dinner included

Overnight in Ollantaytambo

Day 6 Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Cusco, 3.399 masl  (B)
Distance: 160 km

• Transfer to the train station and travel to Aguas Calientes
• Reception and transfer to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu to start the visit with the local guide
• In the afternoon transfer to the station on foot to take the train to Poroy, almost 3 ½ hour journey
• Arrival to Poroy train station and transfer to the hotel

Overnight in Cusco

Day 7 – Cusco – City tour, 3,399 masl (B, L)

• In the morning visit the historical center, the Cathedral of Cusco, Main Square and the Koricancha Temple
• Visit to the neighboring ruins of Cusco, the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay
• Lunch at local restaurant
• Afternoon is at leisure

Day 8 Cusco – Sicuani – Chivay, 3.635 masl  (B, L)
Distance: 460 km

• Our journey begins at 7.00 am, Trip to Chivay passing through picturesque villages of Andahuaylillas, Urcos and Sicuani and later we will make a stop at the Langui Lagoon to observe this magnificent natural mirror that has a length of 25 km, continuing with our trip we will make a second stop at the Forest of Rocks located in the Yauri area.
• At 13.00 we will make the third stop for one hour for lunch at a local restaurant.
• Continuing with the trip we will pass near the Condoroma Dam, reaching the highest point of the trip over 4,737 meters above sea level.
• The last stop will be at the impressive Callalli Castles (rock formations that look like medieval castles formed by the erosion of water and wind)
• Finally we will pass through the villages of Sibayo and Tuti, arriving to Chivay at 16.30 hours

Overnight in Chivay

Day 9 – Chivay - Cruz del Condor - Arequipa, 2,335 masl (B, L)
Distance: 160 km

• Early in the morning we head towards the Cruz del Cóndor to admire the majestic flight of the sacred bird of the Incas and the depth of the Colca canyon, passing through picturesque villages such as Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque
• Back to Chivay buffet lunch included
• Continuation to Arequipa passing through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca (4 hour journey)
• Arrival and transfer to the hotel

Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 10 Arequipa – City tour, 2.335 masl  (B, L)

• In the morning meeting your local guide and will start at the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral built during the Spanish colonial period we meet the the Cathedral of Arequipa built in sillar stone,
• Visit to Santa Catalina Monastery, a jewel of the 17th century and the Iglesia de la Compañia de Jesús.
• Lunch included
• Afternoon is at leisure

Day 11 Arequipa – Lima, 154 masl  (B)

• Free morning for personal activities
• In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima and international connection.
